Job Description:

The Certified Peer Specialist/Peer Care Manager plays a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey. Working in concert with our team, you will provide support, services, and link members to resources in their home or community.

You will be working with a unique blend of innovative programs that emphasize person-centered care, trauma-informed approaches, and cultural competence. Our CORE & HCBS staff use a model of care that optimizes quality of life and reduces symptoms of behavioral health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and services to members in their homes or communities
  • Link members to resources and opportunities for growth and development
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement person-centered plans
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • New York Certified Peer Specialist (NYCPS) Provisional Certification within 3 months of hire
  • Full NYCPS Certification within 1 year as per the guidelines of the NYS Academy of Peers
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
  • NYS Justice Center Criminal History background Check clearance through fingerprinting search required

Compensation:

$22-24 hourly wage
