Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in our healthcare team, working interdependently with medical professionals to provide quality patient care. This role involves providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician, performing specific services to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients. The Medical Assistant must understand the needs of the practice and support the mission and values of WakeMed.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a physician
• Perform specific services to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients
• Understand the needs of the practice and support the mission and values of WakeMed
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
• 2 Years Clinical - Medical Assistant experience preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required - Graduate Medical Assisting preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant required within 24 months of hire or Registered Medical Assistant required within 24 months of hire
Work Schedule
M-Th 8am-5pm, F 8am-1230pm with the possibility of 5pm in the future
Weekend and Call Requirements
No weekends, no call requirements
