Position: Customer Support Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Support Supervisor to join our team. In this capacity, you will oversee and participate in customer service activities to ensure compliance with Rotech's protocols as outlined in the company's Policies and Procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring information collection for patients, referral sources, and third-party payers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Address patient equipment concerns
  • Collect necessary billing documentation and annual oxygen orders consistently
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and patient protocols
  • Adhere to all current government/state regulations and professional standards in patient care and information collection
  • Review subordinate documentation for quality assurance
  • Develop proficiency in current home medical equipment products and services offered by the company
  • Ensure timely and effective service to patients and referrals
  • Utilize sound judgment to meet objectives in patient services
  • Monitor referrals and manage open discharges
  • Engage in the Performance Improvement program to align with company and JCAHO standards
  • Manage telephone communications from referral sources and customers
  • Verify documentation for accuracy in accordance with policy
  • Troubleshoot issues related to orders, supplies, and insurance billing
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, office staff, and other team members
  • Provide direct oversight for Customer Service Representative staff
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications

Employment Requirements

  • Pass a background investigation (company-wide)
  • Clear drug screening (if applicable)
  • Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence with a clean driving record (if applicable)

Required Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Experience with medical equipment
  • Understanding of medical billing practices and reimbursement
  • Background in the medical field and administrative record management
  • One year of relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology

Skills and Competencies

  • Effective communication in English (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to interpret various forms of communication
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
  • Multi-task with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
