Salary:

The salary for this position is based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees: Grade 18 $16.04 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 464 or 60 hrs college credit in core curriculum) and Grade 19 $16.40 p/h (AA / AS or higher).

Key Responsibilities:

The Behavior Technician I will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing behavior plans that meet the unique needs of each student
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure seamless implementation of behavior plans
• Providing behavioral support to students in various settings, including classrooms and common areas
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behavior data

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro Test with a score of 464 or higher

PREFERRED/DESIRED:

• One (1) year experience working with children

Certifications/Licenses/Training:

• Valid Florida Driver's License

Work Environment:

This role is part of the Support Personnel Area and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
