Construction Project Manager

The Construction Engineer will be part of a team conducting on-site facility condition assessments to evaluate the state of good repair, expected remaining useful life, and significant physical deficiencies of buildings and facilities.
This role requires collaboration with maintenance offices, contractors, and representatives from other disciplines within the Authority to support assessment duties.
The incumbent will also provide feedback on improving the FCA site work and data processing procedures and collaborate on project development with applicable planning groups to provide necessary information from the facility assessment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct facility assessments, including walk-throughs of accessible and visible systems of buildings and facilities, to assess and collect data on the state of good repair, expected remaining useful life, and significant physical deficiencies.
- Collaborate with maintenance offices, contractors, and representatives from other disciplines within the Authority in support of assessment duties.
- Provide feedback on improving the FCA site work and data processing procedures.
- Collaborate on project development with applicable planning groups to provide necessary information from the facility assessment process.
Requirements
- An associate's degree in engineering.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities troubleshooting, maintenance, or construction, including maintaining building systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and equipment, and/or performing facility performance and condition assessments.
- Experience working with stakeholders, developing procedures, and estimating costs.
- Familiarity with all aspects of a facility, including site/civil, building envelope, interiors/exteriors, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, or installing building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, communication, or fire protection systems.
- Proficient with using computers, especially with data entry, data analysis, and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in facility management, site assessments, or closely related fields, including transit/transportation experience.
- Experience installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, or communication equipment.
This position requires a valid driver's license and involves conducting field visits to Metro facilities, including accessing mechanical equipment located on rooftops, tunnels, or other locations.
