Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Specialty Programs Manager to join our team at UC San Diego Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of all program aspects of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Structural Heart Disease Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage program staff, patient flow process, program development, community outreach, new patient coordination, patient revenue management, and budget reviews.
  • Work closely with the nursing leadership team to support and lead the clinical staff for the program.
  • Partner with Marketing and Business Development to improve and facilitate the intake process.
  • Collaborate with Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, and Health Sciences Contracting to ensure timely and proper handling of patient financial matters.
Requirements
  • Nine years of related experience, education, or training, or a Master's degree in a related field plus four years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate levels of intervention, and develop and apply effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor subordinates, convey complex administrative, clinical, and technical information in a clear and concise manner, and prepare and present various reports, documentation, analyses, and project proposals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of practice operations, patient-scheduling systems, medical and insurance terminology, applicable information systems, patient service standards, and regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Budgeting and history of successful financial management and revenue cycle management.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Human resource experience, including recruitment and labor relations.
  • Lean management experience.
  • Experience working in a physician dyad.
