Role Responsibilities:

The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in assisting the surgeon and the operative team, ensuring a safe surgical environment. This includes ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly and adhering to surgical principles and infection control standards for patients of all ages.

The Surgical Technologist (CST) operates under the guidance of a registered nurse.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Licensure/Certification:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through a recognized governing body, or certification obtained within 12 months of hire
  • BLS certification required at the time of hire
