Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Virtual Educator, providing instruction and support to students who are visually impaired in North Dakota.

As a Virtual Educator, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing individualized educational plans and accommodations to meet students' needs;
  • Adapting curriculum materials and teaching methods to support students' learning goals;
  • Collaborating with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success;
  • Conducting virtual assessments and evaluations to monitor students' progress;
  • Providing training and support to students, teachers, and caregivers on strategies for supporting students with visual impairments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Special Education with a focus on visual impairments;
  • Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, with eligibility to work in North Dakota;
  • Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting;
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and resources for students with visual impairments;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;
  • Reliable internet connection and technology for virtual instruction.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary reflective of the cost of living in North Dakota. This is an hourly position, and we anticipate that the annual salary would be around $83,000 based on 40 hours per week.
