Compensation Overview
Status: Exempt
Salary: $86,128,423

Position Overview:
Nucor Rebar Fabrication is in search of a Production Supervisor for our operations. In this capacity, you will collaborate with the Branch Manager to implement all Nucor and Nucor Rebar Fabrication policies and practices, ensuring that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and the expectations set forth.
Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the capability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety protocols, practices, and cleanliness standards consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide Leads and shop personnel regarding safety, production targets, cost management, quality assurance, and adherence to production timelines.
- Manage staffing levels of all shop personnel and oversee their work schedules, including overtime management, to meet customer demands while controlling costs.
- Supervise the hiring, training, motivation, evaluation, and development of the workshop team to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate branch inventory according to levels set by the Branch Manager and procure reinforcing steel as necessary to meet customer requirements within established inventory targets.
- Ensure that machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained properly for efficient production.
- Oversee the authorization and procurement of necessary replacement parts and recommend capital expenditures to maintain the most modern and efficient plant and equipment.
- Provide the Branch Manager with relevant operational data to maintain accurate cost tracking and enhance efficiency.
- Foster positive employee relations and ensure compliance with company policies, applying appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Five to eight years of experience in reinforcing steel fabrication or a related field, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
- Proven knowledge of OSHA Industrial Safety Standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with relevant business practices, labor relations, cost accounting, and industrial regulations and standards.
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and/or project management related to operational enhancements.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment with known hazards.
- Engagement in typical shop activities, including walking and occasional heavy lifting.
- Physical activities include walking, sitting, standing, and bending.
- Proficient use of hands for operating tools, computers, and other electronic devices.
This role is essential in ensuring that all Nucor and Nucor Rebar Fabrication policies and practices are effectively implemented, fostering a clear understanding of expectations among all team members.
