CareSouth is seeking a skilled Medical Mobile Unit Driver to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare services team, you will be responsible for driving the Mobile Unit from its storage/parking place to places of service and maintenance, ensuring the vehicle is site-ready and performing various tasks to support our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the Mobile Unit to designated locations, adhering to all motor vehicle codes and regulations.
  • Prepare and set up the vehicle for services, including ensuring the mobile unit is site-ready and maintaining tanks, fuel levels, and other necessary equipment.
  • Assist patients on and off the Mobile Unit and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, representing CareSouth in a positive and responsible manner.
  • Perform general cleaning, organization, and maintenance of equipment and working areas as assigned.
  • Manage and facilitate maintenance schedules for the unit, scheduling preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repairs as needed.
  • Turn on and off all necessary equipment at the beginning and end of each day.
  • Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations, and secure all necessary traffic and parking permits for the mobile vehicle.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of healthcare or community or public health experience.
  • Valid Louisiana Class "E" vehicle operation license; Commercial Driver License (CDL) preferred.
  • Three years of experience driving and maintaining medium to heavy trucks, mobile units, or large rigs.
  • Excellent driving record.
Work Environment:

The Mobile Unit Driver will work primarily in a vehicle/office environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather elements. The position requires frequent sitting, lifting, and pushing/pulling, as well as occasional climbing and reaching.
