Job Summary

Brook Hollow Golf Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Clubhouse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall operation of our Front of House Food and Beverage Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the club in the absence of the Clubhouse Manager
  • Approve staffing and general operating procedures for Food and Beverage Operations
  • Monitor the budget and direct corrective action to ensure budget goals are met
  • Coordinate training programs for Banquet and Ala Carte Staff
  • Monitor safety conditions and employee adherence to safety procedures
  • Maintain contact with members and ensure maximum membership satisfaction
  • Receive, investigate, and act upon complaints from club members, guests, and employees
  • Participate in on-going facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and other standards are consistently met
  • Serve as an ad-hoc member of appropriate club committees
  • May serve as a departmental manager in their absence
  • Attend management and staff meetings as scheduled
  • Undertake special projects as requested by the Clubhouse Manager
  • Research new products and develop an analysis of their cost/benefits
  • Oversee club operations on a daily basis
  • Review all accidents
  • Ensure effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff
  • Inspect to ensure all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance, and other standards are consistently met
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized
  • Manage long-range staffing needs of the department
  • Establish quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the department
  • Ensure all legal requirements are consistently adhered to, including wage and hour and federal, state, and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages
  • Address member and guest complaints and advise the General Manager or Clubhouse Manager on appropriate corrective actions
  • Monitor employee dress codes according to policies and procedures
  • Audit and approve weekly payroll
  • Provide sales and labor reports as requested
  • Conduct monthly beverage inventory
  • Perform the functions of Manager on Duty (MOD) to include lockdown of the Main Clubhouse, Brook Grill, and Pool
  • Record agenda and minutes of the Managers round table meetings
  • Conduct semi-annual clubwide inventory of equipment, china, silverware, and glassware
Requirements
  • Must be able to clearly understand, verbally communicate in English, and in writing with Members, guests, and co-workers
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime if needed
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers when needed
  • Must be courteous and tactful at all times
  • Perform other duties as requested or required
