ICU Registered Nurse

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and utilize the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and may lead projects.
- Impacts customer, operational, project, or service activities within own and related teams.
- Oversees patient care team and coordinates care plan.
- Accountable for patient care meeting safety, effectiveness, and patient rights standards.
- Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates patient care using nursing skills and evidence-based guidelines.
- Provides education and facilitates learning for patients, families, and team members.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plan.
- Advocates for patient and resolves ethical and clinical concerns.
- Accurately documents patient encounters and protects patient health information.
- Adheres to infection prevention initiatives.
- Delivers competent care with emphasis on good customer relations and evidence-based practice.
- Continuously evaluates patient condition and collaborates with healthcare team.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Two or more years of recent critical care experience.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Current AHA ACLS Certification.
- CCRN preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
