Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily opening and closing procedures of the office.
- Greet all patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
- Assist in creating a comforting environment for patients and maintain the reception area.
- Handle incoming calls; address inquiries; resolve issues; and schedule patient appointments.
- Collect co-pays and ensure accurate daily financial reconciliation.
- Guide patients in completing necessary forms and documentation.
- Maintain patient records using the practice's EMR system.
- Organize and manage physician schedules based on established guidelines.
- Assist with the distribution of quality assurance surveys and preventive screenings.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor and respond to messages from Care Team inboxes.
- Ensure all patients requiring appointments are scheduled appropriately by reviewing daily visit lists.
- Safeguard patient privacy by adhering to HIPAA confidentiality standards.
- Contribute to team efforts by adapting to other related roles as needed.
- Ensure smooth daily operations by following established policies and procedures.
- Complete tasks as assigned for special projects.
- Work a schedule of 4-10 hour days, Monday through Friday.
- High School diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Able to accept guidance and work collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in typing and computer skills is advantageous.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
