Sevita is a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care, serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues, and/or emotional or behavioral challenges.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Administrator to provide nursing services, training, oversight, and support to address the medical or psychiatric needs of our clients. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the medical assessment of individuals referred to our program, collaborate with our Program Director or Area Director to determine appropriateness for placement, and develop and implement service plans.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the medical assessment of individuals referred to the program and collaborate with the Program Director or Area Director to determine appropriateness for placement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of service plans and supervise the medical components of the plan.
  • Ensure that current and complete medical records and reports are in accordance with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Develop training flow charts specific to individuals receiving services and provide medical skills training to individuals served, mentors, respite providers, staff, and biological family members.
  • Supervise and manage LPNs as assigned, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, training, and ongoing support.
  • Participate as an Individual Health Plan (IHP) or Plan of Care (POC) team member and evaluate the medical needs of each individual for initial IHP/POC.
  • Oversee the management of high-risk medical conditions and private duty nursing services, in conjunction with operations staff.
  • Promote health and wellness for individuals and ensure nursing actions and steps are implemented for prevention of falls, injuries, and recurrence of health problems.
  • Actively participate in IDT meetings, Human Rights Committee, Health and Safety Committee, and Administration meetings as necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program with current state RN license.
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
