Join Our Team as a Climate Emergency Field Organizer

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Climate Emergency Field Organizer. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to accelerate decarbonization and promote climate justice.

About the Role

This is a part-time, temporary position that will provide you with a comprehensive opportunity to learn and apply the core principles of field organizing. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies to engage communities, build coalitions, and mobilize action on climate change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Actively participate in community outreach and engagement activities, including attending events and campaigns.
  • Training and Development: Attend monthly in-person training sessions and utilize digital tools to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Program Delivery: Work closely with team members to deliver programs and activities that promote climate action and sustainability.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Regularly report on field activities and progress, and work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in field-related work, particularly in climate change and sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and partnerships.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
