Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Systems Engineer to lead our Remote Sensing Programs Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (RSP SEIT) team as a SEIT Lead. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to support efforts on both concept and product development to deliver key solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the execution of the overall systems engineering, integration, and test (SEIT) effort on the program.
  • Ensure the integrity of engineering processes and timely development of core engineering work products.
  • Interface with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, System Architect, other engineering team leads, as well as the customer.
  • Plan and execute the core functions and ensure the project team has qualified staff to execute the program core functions.
  • Lead technical management and execution of the SE team.
  • Plan, execute, and close out program reviews and milestones.
  • Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle.
  • Oversee configuration management of the overall Program Baseline.
  • Serve as the technical interface with the customer.
  • Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs).
  • Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.
Requirements
  • Active/current TS or SCI clearance is required to be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience, a Master's degree with 12 years of experience or a PhD with 9 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields.
  • Experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience in systems development, integration, and test.
  • Demonstrated Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in STEM or technical management.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management experience.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)
  • Experience with Space sensor payloads, including antennas, radar, EO/IR, and/or communications.
  • Experience interfacing with large multi-site/multi-division teams.
