Surgical Technologist/LPN Scrub Nurse

Rochester Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist/LPN Scrub Nurse to join our team. As a key member of the surgical team, you will assist the Registered Professional Nurse in planning and executing elective and emergency surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist in setting up the operating room for surgical procedures, including initial wiping down of surfaces.
Handle sterile linen, instruments, and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique at all times.
Assist in keeping accurate sponge and needle counts and proper handling of specimens.
Clean and restock operating rooms after operative procedures.
Assemble special trays, instruments, and wrap for processing.
Complete special assignments as indicated and necessary for the smooth functioning of the ASC.
Participate in continuing education programs and mandatory in-services to enhance personal growth and development.
Adhere to ASC Policies & Procedures.
Assist in various departments of the ASC under supervision as necessary.
Work late as assigned in advance and flex your schedule to fulfill the needs of the ASC.
Use good work safety habits, including PPE.
Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the ASC.
Requirements
High school education or equivalent.
Minimum of two years' pertinent experience.
Surgical Technologist Certification or LPN license and registration.
Successful completion of A.S.T. certification examination is preferred.
Excellent physical and mental health.
Personality traits that enhance working within a team concept.
