Job Overview

Position: Cybersecurity Engineer

A prominent technology firm is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the implementation, operation, and maintenance of security and inventory management systems, processes, and protocols aimed at mitigating security risks within the manufacturing sector. Candidates should possess three to five years of relevant experience. The organization promotes a family-oriented culture and environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage: $55-$65/hr
  • Employment Type: W2
  • Benefits: Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Retirement Savings Program, Paid Sick Leave
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on the progress of operating system upgrades and security tool installations across numerous endpoints in the manufacturing environment using Microsoft Excel.
  • Advise cyber engineering management and stakeholders on creating achievable and realistic deliverables.
  • Assist in prioritizing features and enhancements for security tools.
  • Engage in complex problem-solving activities.
  • Prioritize responses and remediation efforts for emerging security issues and risks.
  • Collaborate with service recipients and stakeholders to identify business challenges, their impacts, root causes, and potential solutions.
  • Recommend modifications to toolsets and processes to enhance production IT Security support.
  • Contribute to the documentation and adherence to security policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer with a focus on implementing, operating, and maintaining security and inventory management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology).
  • Preferred DoD approved certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+).
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity is essential.
  • Familiarity with Linux, IOS, and Wireshark Software.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing environment.
  • Strong networking skills, including the ability to look up IP addresses.
  • Proficient in Cybersecurity, IT, Networking, and Microsoft Excel.
