We are currently in search of a Custodial Services Technician for a Monday through Friday 11:00pm - 7:00am schedule. This role entails the upkeep and servicing of all areas within our 64-bed facility, which includes patient rooms, therapy areas, restrooms, communal lounges, and administrative offices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct general upkeep and repairs to the facility and its equipment, which may encompass electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs.
- Inspect and maintain emergency power systems; oversee the fire alarm system, including testing alarms and smoke detectors, and document findings as mandated by regulations.
- Responsible for the polishing and waxing of floors.
- Ensure the disinfection of medical apparatus.
- Plan and prioritize tasks effectively to meet all operational requirements within the designated timeframe, while being adaptable to urgent needs.
- Follow provided instructions diligently.
- Serve as a backup contact in emergencies, responding promptly and appropriately.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Experience in general facility maintenance is essential.
- Proficiency in electrical, maintenance, and plumbing tasks is required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Ability to comprehend instructions, manuals, and Safety Data Sheets.
- Capability to lift approximately 100 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- Physical ability to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are a must.
