We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICU Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical Intensivist team at Renown Health, northern Nevada's largest and only not-for-profit locally governed healthcare network.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Level II Trauma Center with comprehensive and outpatient services, and 24-hour emergency care. As an ICU Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner, you will collaborate with the Medical Intensivist Team to care for patients while working closely with Hospitalists, Specialists, Residents, Nursing, and other support staff.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting, working independently as the first call provider on shift.
- Collaborate with the Medical Intensivist Team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Manage cross-cover rounding at night for Critical Care Medicine Service, and float to all ICU floors as needed.
- Perform procedures to stabilize and manage patients, and go bedside as necessary.
- Work with Epic EMR and other healthcare technologies to ensure seamless patient care.
- AGACNP certification and 2+ years' experience as an ICU Nocturnist NP.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in high-volume ICU in a Nocturnist position.
- Proven capability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Completed the Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) course through the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
- Block schedule with 7on/7off rotation.
- Night shift rotation 6p - 6a.
