Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate Job Description

Chenega Professional Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our Family Advocacy Program, you will provide critical support and services to victims of domestic abuse, empowering them to take control of their lives and seek help.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 response to victims of domestic abuse, offering a safe and confidential space to share their experiences.
  • Develop and implement personalized safety plans to ensure the well-being and safety of victims and their children.
  • Collaborate with treatment managers, intervention specialists, and mental health professionals to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Assess and address the needs of victims, connecting them with local resources and services to promote healing and recovery.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of victim interactions, safety plans, and service delivery.
  • Participate in training and education initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills in domestic abuse prevention and response.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of installation-wide policies and protocols to address domestic abuse.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of domestic abuse dynamics and its impact on individuals and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with victims.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and coordination.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software applications to document and track victim interactions and service delivery.
