Acute Care Graduate Nurse Rotational Program

UPMC St. Margaret, a Four Time ANCC Magnet designated hospital, is seeking a Full-time Staff Nurse to participate in a unique Rotational Program. This program offers a comprehensive learning experience, allowing new graduates to rotate through various Acute units, including progressive care, rehab, ortho, neuro/oncology, renal/resp., and surgical floor.
As a participant in this program, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced registered nurses, receive mentorship, and develop a broad range of nursing skills. The program is designed to provide a supportive and challenging environment, enabling you to grow professionally and personally.
Program Details
- The program will begin in February and July 2025.
- Selected participants will rotate through six units for six months.
- Each participant will have an experienced registered nurse as a mentor and preceptors for each rotation.
Upon completion of the program, you will be matched with a participating unit or remain in the resource pool. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from talented nurses and gain a comprehensive understanding of nursing skills.

Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse required prior to program start date OR must have a Temporary Practice Permit and commit to taking the NCLEX examination within 4 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Act 33 with renewal.
- Act 34 with renewal.
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
