Position Summary

The Mechanical Project Manager will become part of a seasoned team during a period of significant growth for our client.


This role is accountable for ensuring project delivery aligns with the client's policies, procedures, EHSQ standards, and financial objectives. The position involves both office and site responsibilities, requiring site visits to meet project demands.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in tender handover and project initiation meetings.
  • Familiarize yourself with all contract details and specifications.
  • Create an email distribution list for each project.
  • Ensure team members are aware of their specific roles and manage team dynamics and challenges.
  • Develop and outline the project timeline, highlighting key milestones.
  • Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) and lead the final design process.
  • Issue technical submissions and ensure follow-through to approval.
  • Ensure procurement and delivery of significant items align with the project timeline.
  • Closely manage the budget in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor.
  • Break down labor-only and specialist packages.
  • Oversee all elements of the cost plan.
  • Establish and manage the labor tracking system.
  • Conduct weekly site visits to assess progress and quality.
  • Update the progress report on a weekly basis.
  • Compile the monthly high-level report for Senior Management review.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Project Manager.
  • Background in trade or engineering with a focus on Construction/Project Management.
  • Proficient in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
