Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Service Technician Class A CDL with X endorsement plays a crucial role in the maintenance and operation of construction and transportation machinery. This position requires both independent work and collaboration within a team to ensure optimal performance and safety of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of machinery and is proficient in operating and testing equipment to assess its condition and functionality.
  • Utilizes maintenance manuals and installation guides for routine upkeep and minor component replacements.
  • Accurately completes and submits necessary documentation for internal processes, including daily fuel usage records.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT regulations through timely submission of required paperwork.
  • Maintains effective communication with job sites regarding the operational status of company equipment.
  • Educates field personnel on daily inspection and lubrication procedures, demonstrating a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Identifies and employs appropriate hand tools and safety gear for various tasks.
  • Maintains all assigned tools and equipment in excellent working condition.
  • Keeps workspaces and company vehicles organized and safe.
  • Holds a valid CDL license with necessary endorsements, including Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake.
  • Engages in continuous learning and knowledge acquisition through various resources, including industry associations.
  • Acts as a mentor and guide to fellow team members, undertaking routine assignments with limited judgment required.
  • Receives detailed instructions for all tasks.
Work Environment:

Primarily outdoor settings.

Physical Demands:

Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally. Refer to the attached Physical Requirements Inventory for more details.

Education Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

This is an entry-level position; some familiarity with equipment servicing is advantageous.

Knowledge Requirements:

Basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic are necessary.
