Position Overview:
Join Acutec Precision Aerospace Inc. as a part-time CNC Machinist, where you will be responsible for operating advanced CNC machine centers, including vertical and horizontal mills as well as turning centers.

Your role will involve managing control consoles to input data necessary for efficient machine operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow detailed process specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure precision in machining tasks.
  • Simultaneously operate multiple CNC machine centers, adhering to router instructions for loading and setup.
  • Monitor machine operations closely to identify defects in workpieces or any malfunctions.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and measure workpiece dimensions to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Edit CNC programs as needed to accommodate tool wear and maintain production within specified tolerances.
  • Perform additional operations at the CNC work center to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machining area and tools.
  • Report any irregularities in operations, equipment issues, or material defects to the Team Leader.
  • Engage in routine housekeeping tasks as required by the department.
  • Assist in training and supporting fellow employees as necessary.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED, along with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • The ability to perform mathematical calculations and interpret statistical data related to machining processes.
Physical Requirements:
This position may require:
  • Occasional walking and frequent standing.
  • Lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities, including color vision and depth perception.
Work Environment:
Employees will work in environments that may include exposure to moving mechanical parts and high noise levels. Adherence to safety policies and procedures is essential to maintain a safe working environment.
