Position Overview:
The Health Services Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the ENT clinic by providing a range of clerical and medical support services. This position is vital for managing patient interactions and maintaining the efficiency of healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform essential administrative tasks, including scheduling, confirming, and canceling patient appointments.
- Handle incoming faxes, ensuring they are sorted and directed to the appropriate medical staff.
- Manage inventory by ordering supplies through the designated procurement system.
- Conduct daily reconciliations of patient charges to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in coordinating urgent medical tests by liaising with relevant departments.
- Review and schedule Managed Care patients, ensuring timely appointments with primary care providers.
- Generate daily census reports and weekly productivity summaries.
- Exhibit exemplary service behaviors aligned with the organization's core values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Expertise.
- Perform additional duties as required to support clinic operations.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 0 to 3 years in a related role, preferably with experience in patient registration and scheduling. Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish or English/Creole is advantageous.
Education: A high school diploma is mandatory.
