Position Overview

Role Summary: The Crew Leader will oversee a small team of laborers, ensuring the efficient execution of various construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 2-3 workers on-site
  • Execute and manage tasks including silt fence installation, hydroseeding, underdrain installation, and asphalt repairs
  • Transport team members to and from job locations
  • Operate machinery such as mini-excavators and skid steers for daily operations
  • Maintain accurate records including daily job tickets and time sheets
  • Perform trenching and excavation duties
  • Handle loading and unloading of construction materials
  • Communicate effectively with clients, superintendents, and project managers
  • Experience in silt fence, seeding, punch work, or underdrain installation is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Experience in driving trucks with trailers
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or landscaping
  • Familiarity with Bobcats and mini excavators is advantageous
  • Preferred experience in silt fence or underdrain installation
  • Reliable transportation is necessary

Physical Demands:

The role requires physical fitness to perform manual labor across various environments, including the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). The employee will frequently sit, stand, and utilize hands for tasks, along with effective communication skills.
