Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Employment Specialist to join our team as a Career Development Coach. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Schedule meetings with new consumers to develop a personal resume and prepare them for interviewing.
  • Assist with community site interviews and job orientation, ensuring a smooth transition into the workforce.
  • Provide job training and onsite coaching for up to 90 days, helping consumers build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
  • Collaborate with community site management and consumers to address any employment-related issues that may arise.
  • Prepare regular reports on consumer progress, ensuring that we meet the requirements of DDARS and Waiver services.
  • Maintain accurate records of consumer training and submit reports to Human Resources as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with agency policies and procedures, attending workshops and training sessions as assigned.
  • Contribute to the agency's strategic planning process, aligning your efforts with our mission and goals.


Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of experience working in a rehabilitation facility or related field.
  • A valid Public Passenger Chauffeur's License is essential, along with CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • You must be able to handle multiple tasks, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and maintain confidentiality.
  • A strong ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and exercise independent judgment is also required.
