Job Summary

The Harvest Manager will oversee the workflow and lead a team of 30-50 employees in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of harvested products and working with growers to inspect product during harvest for quality defects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train employees on proper harvest techniques.
  • Supervise a group of 30-50 people and direct the team in carrying out procedures and schedules.
  • Diagnose plant health, deficiencies, pests, and other issues while coming up with the best solution to harvesting product.
  • Adjust to environment changes, relocate, and work at other established work sites.
  • Maintain open communication with management team and coworkers, giving verbal directives, training information, policies, and coaching and counseling employees as needed.
  • Coordinate scheduling of all harvest/post-harvesting rooms and optimal asset utilization.
  • Establish manpower requirements to meet schedules.
  • Propose and lead corrective actions if issues arise.
  • Conduct personnel development and performance management planning for all direct and indirect reports, including ongoing proficiency training and smooth onboarding of new employees.
  • Organize transports and post-harvest manifests in SAP.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience


High School Diploma or equivalent.


Strong understanding of harvest techniques and cannabis pests/diseases.


Prior experience harvesting cannabis in different environments with various techniques.


Strong understanding of common grow room equipment including electrical systems, light fixtures/bulbs, timers, irrigation systems, air conditioners, dehumidifies, and plumbing.


Works well in a team environment.


Strong attention to detail.


Strong verbal and written communication skills, bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.


Excellent time management skills.


Demonstrated managerial experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.


Bilingual highly preferred.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA, and WV).
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.
