Position Overview
Role Summary
As a Retail Operations Leader, you will assist the management team in upholding Total Wine & More's reputation by providing exceptional service, a diverse selection, and outstanding value to our clientele. You will supervise cashiers, stock personnel, and sales representatives, stepping in as the acting Manager-on-duty when the store manager is unavailable. The Retail Operations Leader plays a crucial role in advocating for Total Wine & More's offerings and may also engage in hands-on support for merchandising, stocking, and cashier duties. You will report directly to the management team of the store.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming and building rapport with customers while educating them about our products and services.
- Cultivate a sales-driven atmosphere through the mentorship and development of team members.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in the training and leadership of team members.
- Oversee cashier operations, merchandising, and sales floor activities.
- Engage in training related to wine, spirits, and beer to gain familiarity with Total Wine & More's product range.
- Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, stockroom, and customer areas.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Availability to work a full-time schedule as required by business needs.
- Proficient in utilizing technology relevant to the role and accessing necessary information to fulfill daily tasks.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or hospitality management, including handling register transactions, resolving customer issues, and coaching team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging demeanor.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Eagerness to expand knowledge of products and services.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Demands (with or without accommodations)
- Ability to walk, bend, and remain on your feet for 8-10 hours daily.
- Capability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
