We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer I Peds ECHO I Gainesville to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a key member of our Congenital Pediatric Echo Lab, you will be responsible for performing advanced ultrasound procedures, including transthoracic echocardiograms on complex congenital heart disease and non-congenital heart disease in pediatric and adult patient populations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality echocardiograms on pediatric and adult patients with complex congenital heart disease and non-congenital heart disease.
- Conduct complex fetal congenital transthoracic echocardiograms.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of findings, including detailed preliminary reports and data entry.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.
- Participate in precepting new hires, fellows, and students as needed.
- Completion of an accredited echocardiography, ultrasound, or cardiopulmonary technology program (AS equivalent).
- Obtainment of cardiac registration within one year of hire.
- Obtainment of cardiac congenital registration within two to three years of hire.
- Obtainment of fetal echocardiogram registration within one year of completing on-the-job training in fetal TTE.
This position is located in a dynamic and collaborative accredited Congenital Pediatric Echo Lab at UF Health Shands. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, serving both inpatients and outpatients on the hospital campus and at satellite clinics.
