Job Overview

The Culinary Service Associate will support the supervisor in food and meal preparation, manage cash transactions, and maintain meal documentation. Assist the supervisor in generating daily reports while upholding exceptional standards in food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols.

COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this role is $17.75. This figure represents Aramark's good faith estimate of compensation for this position at the time of posting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality meals and baked goods in accordance with a predetermined menu.
  • Compile a daily report to verify financial transactions.
  • Understand the components of a complete meal.
  • Ensure proper and sanitary food storage practices.
  • Serve meals in alignment with scheduled times and departmental policies.
  • Utilize and maintain kitchen equipment, particularly knives.
  • Efficiently prepare a variety of food items and beverages.
  • Enhance presentation with appropriate garnishments to elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the thorough cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment.
  • Comply with all food safety regulations regarding sanitation, handling, and storage.
  • Follow the uniform policy consistently.
  • Engage with the Supervisor daily to accurately prepare the day's menu.
  • Monitor food temperature requirements diligently.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace and storage area.
  • Perform cleaning tasks including scrubbing surfaces and sanitizing equipment.
  • Adhere to established cleanliness standards to ensure a safe environment, including sweeping and mopping.
  • Keep waste collection areas and kitchen floors clean and orderly.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned, which may include various kitchen duties.
  • This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing or walking. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

Qualifications

  • Food Service Certification as required.
  • Education or training sufficient to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
