We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Supervisor to join our team at Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our transportation services.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise day-to-day activities of operators to ensure compliance with operational requirements for safe bus operations, including corporate safety training processes and practices.
- Provide support, advice, and guidance to operators in responding to customer complaints, bus and/or worker safety, time-off requests, and other issues.
- Ensure a positive work environment for operators by providing coaching, mentoring, and non-safety related training to promote high employee motivation and morale and commitment to company values and excellence in customer service.
- Monitor on-time performance and prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Supervise compliance with Company policies and/or processes by action and speech; discuss any breach of policy and procedure noted with Operations Manager.
- Collect and audit employee DVIs.
- Evaluate the performance of all direct-report personnel on a regular basis according to company policy.
- Administer appropriate employee discipline as necessary.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Operations Management with 3 years in transit industry preferred; college education can be substituted for up to 2 years required work experience.
- Ability to multitask and pay extreme attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs, and be on your feet for an extended period.
- Experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM).
- Commercial driver's license.
- Knowledge of DMV policies and procedures.
