Position Overview

Our Training Specialists uphold the integrity of our educational methods and ensure that our core values are met. As a mentor, they will improve the lives of our students, who will in turn improve the lives, industries we serve, and the country. This position holds our training in high regard, inspiring others to excel and succeed, ensuring only 'First Choice' students are introduced to our internal and external customers. This is an on-site position, requiring local residence or relocation assistance. Up to 30% travel is required for this role. A $5,000 signing bonus is issued to new hires fluent in Spanish, with additional incentives available for Spanish-speaking assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field and classroom training.
  • Prepare for knowledge and skill delivery each term in a proactive manner.
  • Maintain updated and current knowledge on all programs and catalogs.
  • Identify shortfalls and provide solutions to ensure the campus is always ready to deliver training.
  • Work with leaders to identify and resolve areas of improvement and set professional goals.
  • Identify and recommend different approaches to training sessions, such as new materials, methodologies, and activities to enhance the learning experience of our students.
  • Behave in a way that encourages and inspires students and co-workers, contributing to a work environment that promotes teamwork and respect.
  • Represent a 'What's best for the student?' mindset.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Journeyman lineman (certificate of completion of formalized apprenticeship program required).
  • CDL with good driving record (must be insurable).
Technical Requirements/Core Competencies
  • Passion for training with ability to effectively train others in a classroom and field environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications (climbing, CPR, First Aid).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all program and course competencies.
  • Knowledge of and/or certifications in regulations applying to craft trades (OSHA, NECS, etc.).
  • Proficient in the use of computers with ability to easily learn and navigate new software.
Salary
  • $121,617 annual salary ($58.47 hourly equivalent), with opportunity for growth in our technical educator progression program.
  • $5,000 signing bonus issued to new hires who are fluent in Spanish + additional incentives available for Spanish-speaking assignments.
  • Includes outstanding benefits package and relocation assistance.
