As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating deck machinery, such as winches and cranes, to load and unload cargo. You will also stand watch on the bridge, monitoring the vessel's position, and keeping a lookout for other vessels and navigational hazards. Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance and repair work on the vessel, including painting, cleaning, and chipping rust. You will assist with the safe navigation of the vessel, including taking depth soundings and setting and adjusting course as directed. You will also participate in the launching and recovery of lifeboats and other safety equipment. Furthermore, you will handle lines and cables during docking and undocking of the vessel. You will perform other duties as assigned by the Vessel Master or senior officers.

Vessel:The vessel is a 500-ton lightering vessel.
Location:The vessel is based in Galveston, TX.
Requirements:To be eligible for this position, you must have an AB Special/RFPNW, USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC), Basic Safety Training (BST), Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties (VPDSD), PSC, US Passport, and USCG Medical. You must also be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.
