**Job Summary:**

  • As a Deck Machinery Operator with Atlas Professionals, you will be responsible for safely operating deck machinery, such as winches and cranes, to load and unload cargo.
  • You will also stand watch on the bridge, monitoring the vessel's position and keeping a lookout for other vessels and navigational hazards.
  • Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance and repair work on the vessel, including painting, cleaning, and chipping rust.
  • Assisting with the safe navigation of the vessel, including taking depth soundings and setting and adjusting course as directed.
  • Participating in the launching and recovery of lifeboats and other safety equipment.
  • Handling lines and cables during docking and undocking of the vessel.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Vessel Master or senior officers.

**Location:** Galveston, TX

**Requirements:**

  • AB Special/RFPNW.
  • USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC).
  • Basic Safety Training (BST).
  • Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties (VPDSD).
  • PSC.
  • US Passport.
  • USCG Medical.
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.
