Job SummaryAt Growing Minds Learning Center, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our young learners and helping them grow into confident and curious individuals. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, incorporating developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional teaching skills and providing guidance and support to teacher assistants and volunteers.
  • Plan and execute individual and group activities that foster social, cognitive, and emotional growth, ensuring a stimulating and safe classroom environment.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents through regular progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, and informal discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with state laws and center policies, upholding the highest standards of quality and care.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they adhere to planned activities, good hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reflecting the progress and development of our students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of best practices and emerging trends in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of professional experience in an SC-licensed childcare facility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with staff, children, and parents.
  • A strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
  • Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to pass a full background check and health screening.
  • Physical demands include frequent walking, using hands and fingers, handling objects, and talking to children.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
