Early Childhood Educator

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, incorporating developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional teaching skills and providing guidance and support to teacher assistants and volunteers.
- Plan and execute individual and group activities that foster social, cognitive, and emotional growth, ensuring a stimulating and safe classroom environment.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents through regular progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, and informal discussions.
- Ensure compliance with state laws and center policies, upholding the highest standards of quality and care.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they adhere to planned activities, good hygiene, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reflecting the progress and development of our students.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of best practices and emerging trends in early childhood education.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of professional experience in an SC-licensed childcare facility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with staff, children, and parents.
- A strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
- Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to pass a full background check and health screening.
- Physical demands include frequent walking, using hands and fingers, handling objects, and talking to children.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- One week of sick pay and holiday pay after the first 90 days.
