Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with the healthcare organization's policies and procedures.
- Utilize medical-surgical nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life.
- Establish strong relationships with patients and their families to tailor care plans to individual needs.
- Employ the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Develop comprehensive management strategies considering various dimensions of health and wellness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess needs, set goals, and evaluate outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure culturally sensitive and ethical care.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
- Serve as a mentor and role model within the nursing community.
- Apply evidence-based practices to ensure age-appropriate and clinically relevant care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- No prior experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant verbal communication and active engagement with patients.
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of light objects (0-25 lbs).
- Occasional lifting of heavier objects (25-50 lbs) and patient handling.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the relevant state.
Work Environment:
- Day shift positions available, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
