Overview of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division

  • Delivers both inpatient and outpatient consultative services for obstetric generalists, advanced practice providers, and family medicine practitioners.
  • Conducts approximately 5000 obstetric ultrasounds annually.
  • Incorporates Genetic Counselors who assist around 1000 patients each year.
  • This role will collaborate with another seasoned MFM specialist.

Insights into the OB/Gyn Department

  • Handles around 1800 deliveries each year.
  • Provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for various conditions, including high-risk pregnancies, prenatal diagnostics, genetic counseling, endometriosis, fibroids, incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse, along with gynecologic surgical procedures.
  • Patients benefit from access to doula services, pelvic floor physical therapy, lactation assistance, integrative health offerings, and minimally invasive techniques within our healthcare system.
  • Dedicated to enhancing maternal health outcomes and addressing maternal mortality.
  • Recognizes the significant influence of mental health on new parents and families, and collaborates with psychiatry providers and the Mother-Baby program as part of the Redleaf Center for Family Healing, which provides a range of trauma-informed mental health services for pregnant women and families with young children.

Essential Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
  • Completion of an OB/GYN residency and MFM fellowship.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
  • If Board Eligible, certification must be achieved within four years of completing training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine sub-specialty.
  • A shared commitment to health equity and serving a diverse patient demographic.
