Milestone Technologies Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Support Specialist to join our team in the Long Beach area.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires the candidate to work on-site in Long Beach, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the areas of vessel operations, automation, and software management.
Key Responsibilities:
- General IT Operations: Provide technical support and maintenance for vessel operations systems, including ABB and remote table protocols for STS Cranes.
- Automation Expertise: Develop and implement automation solutions for vessel operations, including ABB OCR system, Navis' N4 & XPS software, and other related systems.
- Software Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software issues related to vessel operations, including TBA (Kone) TEAMS software and FMDS, Battery management system, and fence control system for automated guided vehicles.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory and global logistics practices to ensure smooth vessel operations.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate documentation using Confluence and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders using Microsoft 365 (including TEAMS).
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of operations experience in shipping or transportation (vessel) with a strong understanding of maritime business knowledge.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, including automation, software management, and inventory management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, engineering, or logistics.
