Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is $33.60 - $48.73 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Summary

">

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Informatics Specialist to join our team at St. Lukes Health. As a key member of our clinical informatics team, you will play a critical role in advancing clinical practice and improving patient outcomes through the effective integration and utilization of Clinical Information Systems (CIS) in the practice environment.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Utilize knowledge and skills of informatics with current evidence and clinician input to determine clinical information systems and workflows best suited for end-users.">
  • Advocate for clinicians and nurses in the design, build, testing, implementation, evaluation, stabilization, optimization, and upgrading of clinical information systems.">
  • Assist in developing end-user requirements with senior staff guidance.">
  • Identify, develop, validate, and utilize forums to solicit input and bring end-users to appropriate content, design of screens and forms, and workflow with end-users, effectively communicating findings.">
  • Streamline communication and continuity of clinical and operational practices during declared inter-facility system downtime.">
  • Develop best practices promoting adoption of clinical information systems into clinical practice.">
  • Participate in policy development and maintenance related to clinical and nursing practice supported by CIS.">
  • Analyze efficiency and quality metrics, making recommendations with senior staff.">
  • Support clinicians using CIS to promote patient safety.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • An Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred).">
  • A current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Texas Board of Nursing.">
  • At least two years of experience with market-specific EMR/EHR - Epic.">
  • Three years of clinical experience.">
  • Working knowledge of various hardware and software environments within healthcare.">
  • Proficient understanding of process maps and workflow diagrams.">
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.">
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.">
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.">
