About the Role

Champion, Partners in Rehab seeks a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) to join our team. This Full-Time Floater position will be based in South Alabama, with locations in Allen in Mobile, Eastern Shore in Daphne, and Fairhope Health and Rehab in Fairhope.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist the Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) in providing rehabilitation therapy to patients of all ages with temporary or chronic physical and psychosocial disability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in planning therapy programs for all patients.
  • Evaluating response, measuring change and development, and recording data as requested.
  • Preparing and fitting splints for functional and non-functional upper and lower extremities as ordered.
  • Determining splinting and media supply needs and reporting this to OTR.
  • Assisting in in-service education programs.
  • Preparation of patient treatment area for therapy sessions.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid COTA certification and current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Satisfactory completion of an Occupational Therapy curriculum approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • An ability to work under pressure and/or stress on occasion.
  • A desire to work with and for people with temporary and/or chronic mental, physical, or developmental disabilities.

Benefits and Perks
