Established Hospitalist Program seeks Internal Medicine or Family Practice physicians for a dynamic team in the heart of Iowa. Enjoy a collaborative environment with daily rounds, admissions, consults, and perioperative care management. Limited ICU care is available with Intensivists on site 24/7. Shifts include 4 daytime rounders on 10-12 hour shifts with an average of 15 encounters/day or less, an evening swing shift, and one overnight physician. Daytime hospitalists are supported by a hospitalist nurse, pharmacist, and program coordinator. Positions available for FTE (1 FTE is 150 hours/mo, equivalent to 37.5 hours/week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily rounds and admissions
- Manage perioperative care and limited ICU care
- Collaborate with hospitalist nurse, pharmacist, and program coordinator
Shift Options:
- 4 daytime rounders on 10-12 hour shifts
- Evening swing shift
- Overnight physician
