Position: RN Unit Manager

Company Overview: Jupiter Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated RN Unit Manager to oversee nursing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute administrative tasks including the completion of medical documentation, reports, evaluations, and charting as required.
  • Supervise daily activities of both licensed and non-licensed personnel, including performance evaluations, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance program for the nursing unit.
  • Coordinate nursing services with other resident care services to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Engage tactfully with staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of nursing practices, medical procedures, and relevant laws and regulations in long-term care.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and supervisory skills, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the state of practice is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Completion of post-secondary education with the ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance as required by the position.
  • Relevant experience necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
