Cloud Engineer Job Description

KPMG-UnitedStates is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Tax Technology Practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and administer Azure environments that support our mission-critical enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for managing the Azure environment, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a Cloud DevOps subject matter expert, driving innovation and sharing knowledge across the team.
  • Create and update supporting documentation for processes and Cloud automated tools, promoting standardization and knowledge sharing.
  • Handle Cloud patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation, ensuring system security.
  • Collaborate closely with the application team for the deployment of new and existing applications, fostering cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in Cloud DevOps, specifically with Azure environment management and engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer science, information technology, or related field experience.
  • Proven experience in developing automation scripts and managing large, mission-critical enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Cloud patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills; great understanding of Azure Services, Network, and Security with experience working closely with application teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to create and update supporting documentation for processes and Cloud automated tools.
