Conductor/Engineer Role Overview

At Watco Transloading, we're seeking a skilled Conductor/Engineer to join our team in Wausau, WI. As a key member of our railroad operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect locomotives before and after runs to verify compliance with FRA requirements.
  • Read and interpret switching orders, wayside signals, and railroad rules and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members and train dispatchers via radio.
