Civitas Education Partners is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated High School Paraprofessional to join our team. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic success and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide instructional support and supervision to students in a high school setting, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist students with operating and navigating educational technology, including basic troubleshooting and technical support.
- Support the development and implementation of individualized learning plans, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure student success.
- Monitor and record student attendance, progress, and concerns, communicating effectively with teachers and administrators as needed.
- Implement behavioral plans and strategies to promote positive behavior and social interactions among students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement new educational techniques and approaches.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as instructional support, behavioral management, and educational technology.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Illinois State Board of Education Paraprofessional License or comparable, current out-of-state licensure required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills strongly preferred.
- Experience supervising students or youth in a classroom or similar environment strongly preferred.
- Expertise in managing behavior proactively, strategically, and through positive reinforcement and restorative practices required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing, required.
