Job Summary:

WestRock is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical and Mechanical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Participate in safety training and audits to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company safety policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in electrical and mechanical maintenance to continuously improve our maintenance processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a strong background in troubleshooting and repair.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in electrical or mechanical technology preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and materials, with a strong physical presence and stamina.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to travel to other locations as required, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
