Instrumentation Controls Technician for Dairy Manufacturing

We are seeking an Instrumentation Controls Technician to join our team at fairlife's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Webster, NY. This is a non-exempt hourly position with a base salary range of $39.00 per hour.
About the Role:
- Perform routine and specialized duties in the repair and maintenance of instruments, controls, and process control network systems throughout the entire manufacturing process.
- Work as part of a team to plan, analyze, and control the quality of processes.
- Inspect, repair, and adjust Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and related equipment using electrical test equipment, circuit diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Install or replace instrumentation devices, such as flow sensors, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, and other devices, including programming the device or downloading parameters.
- Install or replace control systems that fail to operate, continuously monitoring all operation processes to recognize and correct malfunctions promptly.
- Install or replace PLCs, HMIs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo Drives, including programming the device or downloading parameters.
- Continually improve process control systems through Advanced Process Control, Alarm Management, and Operator Interface Optimization.
- Plant liaison for new system start-up and commissioning by outside contractors and system integrators to ensure proper transfer of documented PLC program changes and adequate training on installation/changes.
- Responsible for integration of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Drives, and process controls.
- Provide technical training to lower-level personnel.
- Work in various areas of the facility, including the Packaging Department, Processing Department, and Facilities/Utilities Department.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of maintenance experience in industrial control system development and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with PLCs: Allen Bradley Micrologix or Micro800, CompactLogix & ControlLogix, Siemens Step 7 PLCs.
- Proven experience with HMI or SCADA programming and configuration.
- Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens VFDs and Servo Drives.
- Proven experience with EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet, ProfiBus, and ASi Industrial Networks.
- Strong PLC skills with expertise in system administrative and maintenance activities, and hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience programming in multiple languages IEC 61131-3 compliant, such as ladder diagram, function block diagram, structured text, instruction list, and/or sequential function chart.
