Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
  • Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of patients.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to maintain provision of quality care.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
  • Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing secretaries and nursing assistants.
  • Incorporate critical thinking skills into patient care.
  • Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcome.
Requirements:
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in a stressful fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others.
  • A year of experience in nursing, particularly in telemetry.
  • Clinical competence.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Successful completion of Critical Care Course.
  • Graduate from an approved nursing educational program.
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
